dsniff / msgsnarf

hello all.

i have a problem using msgsnarf from the dsniff package.

if i run dsniff -i eth0 , it shows any user and password trying to login through ftp, telnet etc. but if i run msgsnarf -i eth0 (or eth1) it doesn`t dump anything from instant messengers from the network. is there any special way of running msgsnarf? i am running FC3 and it`s place in the network is

cable modem <-> FC3 <-> Switch <-> Windows PCs.

any help is appreciated, thank you.

A nice "nice" little way of getting some data is to read up on ARP POISING, which is a form of man in the middle attck!! Try it with that
