I am reading a book that mentions dsniff, I downloaded it but found it way too obsolete, it could not compile with the current libnet and no older libnet could compile on my Slackware 10.0 system. I googled a while and could only find out that everyone else was having the same problem: dsniff is deprecated (last change in changelog was from 2000).
So now I want to know if there is any good (new) alternative to dsniff. I have been using Ethereal and Kismet but from what I could tell from the book, dsniff could sort things out and only present passwords, I liked that feature because I find Ethereal very messy after a while and the filters just don't do it.
Thanks Capt_Caveman. I checked out the screenshots and it seemed to be a great program, it seemed much better than Etheral. I will check it out ASAP. Thanks!
Thanks, I will check those out when I wake up in the morning (getting kinda sleepy). I am not sure what versions I tried cause I can't remember but maybe a new try with those you listen will do it. Thanks.
