downloaded corel9 - starting the program?

i downloaded corel9 and installed it for general linux systems (mine is lycoris 1.4). now i see only the photopnt.exe which loads after doubleclicking with wine, a windwos-emulator as far as i understood. finished loading the sign disappears from the task line and nothing happens. i don't find another executable file; can someone hint me?

If it's Corel Photopaint you're using, why not try Corel Photopaint for Linux? And as far as I could find out, the Win version of Corel is very "iffy" under wine.

The binary should be in /usr/bin, but a whereis photopnt or whatever it's supposed to be called should turn up something.

there actually is a binary called "photopaint". clicking on it does not lead to any reaction. it points to a file in the corel9 bin-folder called "gfxlauncher" which, sadly, turns out not to give any kind of reaction either.
do i need to enter something at a command prompt to run a program which is absolutely dependend on a graphical interface!?

Just try running it from a console just to see if it spits out any errors. That may provide some clues.
