Using Suse 9.1 - Just installed a bittorrent rpm, everything worked well with Yast but how do I start the program now? there are no icons or anything yet - what step am I missing?
Installing a program does not necessarily mean that it will show in the menu etc like windows does. It will be there but not in the menu.
You will have to run it from a terminal or the "run command" program.
to find out what files are associated with the program you installed type
rpm -ql theProgramName
look for files in the /bin or /sbin directories, these are the binary files (like exe files) and typing these in the command prompt will run the program.
