Does anyone use festival speech synthesizer?

I am having trouble with my installations of different voices. or, more specifically, for some reason the installations of the voices aren't working. i can get the default voice to work, but that is it.

here is the error message i get:

festival> (SayText "hello") voice_ked_diphone
#<Utterance 0x40386998>
#<CLOSURE n (let ((me voice_ked_diphone)) (require "/usr/share/festival/voices/english/ked_diphone/festvox/ked_diphone") (if (eq me voice_ked_diphone) (error (string-append "autoload: \"" "/usr/share/festival/voices/english/ked_diphone/festvox/ked_diphone" ".scm\" does not define " (quote voice_ked_diphone)))) (apply voice_ked_diphone n))>

any ideas? obvoiusly, i know nothing about C++...

thank you!

jxl
