i have downloaded it several times but i cant even run the software
see attachment when i extract the tar zip
That 'attachment' shows nothing. And you're either not downloading the right thing, or are not understanding the first post.
First, as mentioned before, check your online repositories. It's available for Mandriva. Go there, search, click "INSTALL". Doesn't get much easier. If you're downloading the RPM file, then install it with your package manager, or just type in "rpm -i <package name>".
If that's too complex, you can download the source code from their site, decompress it, and again, read the instructions that come with it, about how to compile/install it.

Out of curiosity, I looked at the link for peazip on sourceforge. Seems to have a package for every major linux distro. you might try one of those instead. Do not use the mswindows as they are only for Microsoft products.
