display drivers


just installed redhat 9.0 on an intel 845gvad2 motherboard with on board display....the xwindows starts once but the moment i shut it and then start again, the system boots through all its checking and the system freezes the moment it tries tp activate xwindows and the harddisk led is on...is there any tweaking that i can do to stabilise the machine


40gb samsunf ide 7200rpms hdd
14" hp monitor
845gvad2 integrated display card

Give us some more details on your setup... like all your hardware, like video type, hard drives, etc. Most likely its a configuration problem with X and your type of monitor/video card, etc.
