Craziness with WINE

I've been using WINE for quite a while now, and before now I haven't been having any problems with it. But now, all of a sudden, when I use WINE to use an .exe file, the windows and all of the text come up in some strange language. No error message comes up, because it appears to be working fine besides the change in language. Does anyone know what's wrong?

nope...can't tell you anything else but check your wine's config file. that is, as far as I know, the only place you can change it's behaviour if you don't want to do magic with the source
