Could you pse test this video stream for me

Finally got mplayer to work with the firefox plugin I can't get the video on this page to work:

Could someone look with their own plugin and let me know if it works for you and is so what configuration might affect it

Thanks

Which browser are you using? I looked at the source code on that page, and it seemed to me that they have chosen to only recognize MSIE, Opera, Macintosh, IE4 and Netscape 4 as "supported" browsers.

Also, looking at the js code for the video stream, it seems to reference a
Code:
mms://a988.v101995.c10199.e.vm.akamaistream.net/ . . .
Now they may change the "mms" to something else internally, but that's not a standard protocol.

So, bottom line, I suspect the problem is in what they deliver, not what you've installed.

Oh, a suggestion: Look at the "Plugger" test page http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger/test.html
and try what's there. (Installing "plugger is also a good idea . . .)

Browser

We are using mozilla firefox. Oddly when mplayer was misconfigured, it would play the audio stream for that video link. We'll look into the browser issue and post a solution if we find one.

You could try playing it in the suite browser. It's working perfectly in mozilla 1.7.6 here.

You could check if there is a plugin in there that you can transfer/copy over to Firefox to make things work. I don't know how to go about that though (not a Firefox user), but I know it's been done that way and helped some people.
