copying to CD

Hello!

I want to copy more than 700 mg to a CD. While this is impossible, what options are there available to splitting up the file into many CDs?

Thanks
Murdock

"split" is a program which splits files into smaller parts (seriously). You can then use the "cat" program to join them back together.

if it is only slightly larger than 700 you can try overburning. When discs are made they are not exactly 700mb but companies over estimate inorder to make sure the discs are alrge enough. When programs burn a disc normally they assume that it is 700mb because it needs to be at least that size. Some recorders have an over burn option which will let you orverburn onto the extra space.

i believe the overburning option is in advanced burning settings for k3b. Not sure though. Try taking a look around shouldnt be that hard to find.

edit: on k3b , go to "settings" -> "configure k3b" -> writing - > Advanced ->tick "allow overburn"
