I don't exactly know the procedure for creating 64bit pkgs but have used apps like "alien to convert pkgs from say rpm to deb or tgz etc" with success.
AnyWay I have been using a 64bit OS & have lots of rpm's & deb pkgs & was wondering if its possible to convert some of them to 64bit & if theirs a app like alien etc that does this.
I know I can download 64bit pkgs from web but I only have a small amount of mgs or gigs I can download on my internet plan.
There isn't really any way to automagically convert 32bit packages to 64bit. If you have the source packages you would be able to just build them for your 64bit architecture, but if you have binary packages you're basically out of luck.
