convert .iso to .img


Hi everyone,

is there a program in linux to convert a distro eg. line linuxmint-16-xfce-dvd-64bit.iso to linuxmint-16-xfce-dvd-64bit.img ?

I need this to make a live usb .

Many thanks in anticipation.

No need to convert with a hybrid ISO. Just use the dd command.

If you do come across a non hybrid .iso file then isohybrid can be used to convert.
