Question Is it possible to convert a bootable ISO to a img.ext2 file?

I'd like to know if theres a way to get a Bootable ISO file into a img.ext2 format so I can transfer it to a usb Drive or be able to use it on a Nokia N900.

If so what do I need to do to make it happen?

You can't do that if you mean you want to run a Nokia N900 telephone from some general linux disk.

You'd need some iso that is made for that phone. You also need to know how someone figured out how to change the OS.

I'd doubt you have a bootable iso image of the os.

so it doesn't work that way. how can I get a a custom ubuntu os to be runned under maemo? I've seen debian and kubuntu running on that phone. I got debian Lxde working on it and its in a img.ext2 file . I thought why cant I have a different distro instead.

You need a distro or you need to make a distro to use on that phone.

Where did you see this working? Find them or find a web page or a few that tell how to use a special distro that help. If you see some page then let us know and we can look at it.

Alright I might as well make one using an existing on for that phone if there's not other way.
