Angry Computer Will Not Boot From Cd Rom


TRYING TO INSTALL ON PC BUT BIOS WILL NOT ALLOW BOOTING FROM CD ROM NOW THAT IS BOGUS CAN YOU DOWNLOAD A BOOTDISC SOMEWHERE?

Need more info...

What distribution are you trying to install? Almost all of them offer bootdisks.

Have you tries Smart Boot Loader? That way you can boot any number of partitions, floppy, cd-rom, even dvd (given a drive!) without altering BIOS settings. On my ancient ThinkPad you can't save its settings but it still boots OK from CD after complaining once or twice. XOSL uses SBM for its CD boot so it must be good!
