hi,
i run gentoo linux 2.6.8-r3 on an athlon xp2000 with gforce 5980
i've installed cinelerra from source with all dependecies
but if i load a movie (no matter what format) and play it, cinelerra crashes when i hit the stop button
nothing works then anymore, i have no idea what this could be?!?!
does anybody here has expirience with cinelerra?
I got the following error message when i tried to run it as root:
bash-2.05b# cinelerra
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

That error usually means your attempting to run a program in X while logged in as someone else. Who are you running the program specifcally as and who are you logged in thru X as?
