Choppy Flash video with Chrome

Here's the deal, the majority of the videos on facebook and Yahoo etc. do not play properly. While the sound is ok the video is choppy. This only happens with Chrome, Firefox is fine, and only happens on this machine (Dell Optiplex 755 w/Intel Core 2 duo 2.33 x2 w/4gig). For the most part Youtube with the HTML5 player is fine as well. What is odd is that my first Linux distro, Mint 15, worked but when I went to 17 the video problems began. I tried several other distros but the results were the same until I landed on LMDE. Yesterday I upgraded to LMDE 2 and guess what's back! Just loaded Korora and same thing.

I'm assuming that Pepperflash is not playing well with this system but it seems to be Linux specific as Vista/Chrome on this machine has no problems. Could it be the kernel? LMDE was 3.11 and the new LMDE 2 and Korora 21 are 3.16 and 3.18 respectively.

I could really need some ideas as my monitor is getting tired of being shaken and yelled at

I'd think you are correct in that the way Chrome handles video.

Two ideas come to mind. One is resources like video ram and swap file. Look at top command results maybe for clues.

The other idea is video driver. May be that vesa or native driver change will help.
