My sound is all choppy in Google Chrome

Not in Chromium, or in other browsers.

there's really no point in using this browser to listen to music, watch YouTube videos, etc.

I've tried increasing the sound buffer when opening chrome through the terminal as recommended here:
https://code.google.com/p/chromium/i...tail?id=224046
this didn't help.
