I tried yesterday pingus for fun, but the font caracters are not displayed correctly because I'm using french version of Mandriva. Can I change the default font to fix this problem, and how ?

When you log into KDE, go to the control center, then in regional settings select language. There the language settings are located. But if you can't read the characters at all, you've got a problem.
