How to change default boot? (from linux to linux-up)

Hello,

I hve just installed red hat linux advanced server 2.1, it defaults to boot with linux but I need to boot it up at linux-up . it is no differences than changing from default booting with windows (DOS) instead of linux. I jut dont know how to do this. can anyone help?

I am using the LILO boot loader, I tried to change the lilo.cnf from default=linux to default=linux-up

but that doesnt solve the problem

thank you.

After you altered /etc/lilo.conf , did you become root and run lilo ?

After you edit lilo.conf file type 'lilo' at the prompt to load the config changes.
