* msie can be installed with wine, although it's not stable. I've installed IE with a script at http://sidenet.ddo.jp/winetips/config.html I've used wine version 20050725 for this, it may not work with other wine versions (because wine itself isn't stable and properly tested with each release.

* a flash plugin exists natively for linux. some distro's (suse for example) install this by default.
* pdf can be read with a lot of tools. kpdf is my favorite adobe even ported acroread to linux.
* try "mplayer" for quicktime, also install the extra codecs for it.
