can't write to fat32 partitions (rh8.0)


i've tried all i know (by launching nautilus as root and using the GUI) to change the read/write permissions for /mnt/win and /mnt/win2 so that i can use winex and write to those drives form linux. how should i fix this?

Check the umask in /etc/fstab - it may be set to read only.

you're mounting them at /mnt/D and /mnt/C in fstab.
that doesn't give users permission to mount to /mnt/win
and /mnt/win2, just /mnt/D and /mnt/C
