Can't connect to Samba share outside of subnet
I have a samba server running on 192.168.1.1. If I have a computer inside the subnet, for example, 192.168.1.50, I can connect to the shares fine. If I try to connect from outside, it won't let me. At first I thought it was the firewall, but I disabled the firewall and I still couldn't connect to the samba server. I keep getting this:
C:\Documents and Settings\jgauci>net use s: \\ucfpawn.homelinux.com\homes /USER:pawn
Enter the password for 'pawn' to connect to 'ucfpawn.homelinux.com':
System error 53 has occurred.
The network path was not found.
Is there some rule in samba that only permits people inside the subnet to access a share? If so, how do I disable that rule?
