Callgrind difference

Hi,

I have run Callgrind on a particular application each on 2 different versions.

The total output difference was really quite huge.

1st version ==>

Ir
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
6,453,713,989 PROGRAM TOTALS

2nd Version ==>

Ir
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4,538,556,093 PROGRAM TOTALS

Clearly it can be seen that 1st one has a lot of instructions than the second one.

Can anyone say, If it directly co-relates with memory consumption and if so how to clean up the 1st version.

Regards
DJ
