Angry Broke KDE

I'm running a dual boot WinXP / SUSE 8.1 using KDE as the GUI. KDE was working fine, till.... I ran the "auto update". What a mistake.

The still loads but when you choose linix, I can't get back into KDE.

Here's the long version...
While booting, the system runs through the normal commands till it gets to this;

Starting service kdm/opt/kde3/bin/kdm: error while loading shared libraries: libX11.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
startproc: exit status of parent of /opt/kde3/bin/kdm: 127 failed

Master Resource Control: runlevel5 has been reached
Failed services in runlevel 5: xdm
Skipped services in runlevel 5: splash

Welcome to SusE 8.1 blah blah blah and dumps me on the command line.

Ok folks, how do I get KDE back
