Question Booting from network

Hello everyone,

Can someone help me out a bit... my desktop computer is making noice, so I want to remove the moving parts... so I want to boot from my local network...

I have already one linux system running 24 hours a day, so I would like to use this as a source and storage space for all my files.

But I am using Slackware on it, and I cant seem to find a version of mknbi that will work on it. It's probably something I did wrong, since some of the manuals I've read tell me about a program called mknbi-linux, but I cant find it...

I was hoping that someone could help me in the right direcion...

Regards,
Frayja

Try to use the pxp booting... (if your bios supports and if you have the pxe enable nic and proper boot rom). Try to search in google and you'll get a lot. Try search with " pxp booting using linux "
