Boot disk to flash bios made thru linux?

Ok. I have two computers. One works, one needs a BIOS update (and OS). Both computers have a floppy drive.

I've tried using .exe's from bootdisk (dot com) with wine to no avail. The bios flash program is an exe, so I would assume I'll have to get a dos-compatible boot disk up.

I NEED: an image (.img, not .exe) for a boot disk that I can put to a floppy.

I know 'dd if=~.img of=/dev/fd0'. That works. I just need the .img...

Thanks.

Try this...

http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
Go down the page to Non-Windows Based Image Files W/Image App

I downloaded the WinMe zip file and unpacked it:
unzip winmec.zip

Put it on the floppy disk:
dd if=WINME.IMG of=/dev/fd0

You may need to remove some unused stuff to have room for your bios program.
