Blackbox in window manager

Ok the problem is i cannot figure out how to get blackbox into my window manager selection menu in mandrake 8.1. Now i have gotten it to display actually but i cant get it to work it just goes straight to default. If anyone can help i would greatly apreciate it.

If you just want to use blackbox:
echo exec blackbox > ~/.xinitrc
and restart X

if you want to have blackbox as an option in the list of window managers in kdm or gdm, all you should need to do is create a file called /etc/X11/Sessions/blackbox just containing "exec blackbox" it should then appear in the list next time to get to kdm / gdm. the paths i've given may well be slightly different on your system, e.g. wmsession.d instead of Sessions...

ok when i create this file and put exec blackbox into it it changes nothing is there any other step i may have to do that could be overlooked.
