major Gnome window manager issue after installing blackbox

I just installed and ran blackbox from an RPM from ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/freshrpms/fe...nux/2/blackbox

It seemed to work fine, however, when I returned to Gnome, the Virtual Window Manager does not show up and every window is missing the windows title, minimize/maximize/close buttons and the windows all get placed in the corners. What the !$@%#&* is going on here? Interestingly, the problem only occurs when I start Gnome...KDE is fine. I prefer Gnome. I have all the recent updates from the Fedora boys. There's obviously a conflict somewhere. I didn't see anything unsusual in the xorg.log or /var/log/messages. Any thoughts? Thanks.

it looks like the window manager isn't loading. For Gnome, it's called sawfish... the window manager is what puts the titles and x's on the windows. so... you might make sure that the blackbox rpm didn't remove sawfish or anything gross like that.

also... the gnome control center might have some useful information.

Not good...

OK, so the FreshRPM BB RPM does a number on my Gnome WM. I tried to install sawfish via yum thinking the BB install might have does something aweful, but no luck. So, I had to start from scratch. Luckily, everything was backed up and I have access to a 1 GB/s LAN. I installed FC2 again and tried the BB RPM at the DAG site. So far, this seems to work OK and Gnome is happy. Thanks for the quick reply fenderman11111.
