Bittirrent Error


i am trying to use bittorent for the first time but get this error

nazmin@darkstar:~/archiso$ btdownloadcurses.py arch-0.7.iso.torrent
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/btdownloadcurses.py", line 6, in ?
from BitTorrent.download import download
ImportError: No module named BitTorrent.download

I'm pretty sure that means you're missing the BitTorrent.download module. There should be a file called "BitTorrent.download.py" in /usr/lib/python2.3/ ...maybe a different directory, depending on your version of Python and whether or not you used the Slack pkg.

i could't find any `BitTorrent.download.py` files in my system?

arhhh....just installed azureus....problem solved...the only thing is azureus required java plus gui which is it will your memory...

Well, OK, if you're fine with that, then good. I would've checked out the place where I downloaded that file to see if I missed something though.

azureus quite ok but i would to know also from the cmd line app

A good command line BitTorrent program is CTorrent: http://www.ctorrent.sf.net
