Cool Big Problem


as i've installed amarok in usr/local/bin dir on my fedora core 3.but im not able to find it on my system.can u plz tell me where d software goes into d system and how can i run dat software

If you're in KDE, hit ALT-F2 and type "amarok". If it doesn't work, I need to know how you installed the package.

ok in root i've
tar xfvz amarok.tar.bz
cd amarok
./configure
make
make install


i want the shortcut of this player in my multimedia option...thats why im asking about the installed location of this software

Hi,
The best you can do is to open a konsole
and type :

type -p amarok


if amarok can be launched this way ( if it is on the path ) this should tell you were the binaries is.
Hope this will be usefull.
