Best TV Software?

Hi Guys...

I'm running RH9. Got XawTV installed with the dist, but I can't get the thing to work properly. It starts up, and show's snow, and i've probably spent 2 hours trying to find a channel with my cursor keys. Now I'm fed up with it, and I'm looking for any better tv watching software out there. Does anybody know of any other good one?

Thanx in advance.
Greetings from South Africa

well Xawtv is the "official" tv program in as much as it is written by the guy that writes the bttv and v4l drivers themselves, so it supposeduly the most reliable, and IMHO the best. what issues are you actually having? got the right frequency table etc...?

Thanx for the re

Thanx Chris for the reply. I live in South Africa, and in the settings there is an option for South Africa. I Then scan manually through all the channels, but finds nothing. I've seen in the documentation that there is a 'scantv' command, but when I try to execute it, linux can't find the scantv command.

I know the card works. When I dual boot into windows, it picks up all the channels. Also, when I installed the card, I connected the sound into the cd line-in on the motherboard. So I don't get any sound either.

Thanx a stack
Martin
