Fantastic!

My incrontab:

Quote:
/home/pedro/temp IN_MODIFY lp -d "EPSON-L380-Series" $@/$# && rm $@/$#;
Although, I do like to see some kind of printed output!

The photos will be taken with a camera connected to the computer, they will come in one at a time, so this is perfect.
As they arrive, they can be sent to the printer and or deleted or moved to a backup.
At the same time it solves the problem of .jpg or .jpeg or actually any other designation!

Works great, thanks a lot!

I have not tried but you might be able to use notify-send with incron. It is used to send pop up notifications to the desktop.

/home/pedro/temp IN_MODIFY lp -d "EPSON-L380-Series" $@/$# && rm $@/$#; DISPLAY=:0.0 notify-send Print "Some Message"

Even fantasticer! (Pardon my English.)

Worked first time, a nice little message to tell me:

"Sent a file to the printer."
