bash - lost letters
Distro: KateOS 3.1
Mainboard: Epox with nForce2
CPU: Athlon 2500+
This could be software problem but no one else could redo this bug.
This occurs on my old system, 3.1 installation cd and newly installed system.
Developers have no idea what's going on.
When I use /bin/bash it lost letters entered from keyboard, just if I just didn't pressed that letters. This happend only in /bin/bash and doesn't matter if I use emulator on X server or terminal tty, but there is some interested things:
- letters are lost more often when I just start the bash than when I work whit it some time
- more losts are when cpu is 100% busy
- screen runing on bash hangs. It's like when letter "should be" lost.
- looks like ssh 127.0.0.1 helps a little, but it seems that it lost some letters too
- this is not kernel bug for sure. New os running on old kernel doesn't help.
- tried diffrent terminal emulators: no use
- all other shells (csh etc) works ok!
- gpm kill doesn't resolve the problem
- tired to run os at minimal application load... the same
- tired to recompile bash with no flags, diffrent flags, diffrent options
Other distros and live cds works fine. KateOS 3.0 works fine too.
