Unhappy Autoplay removable media in Slackware

Hi,

I have seen that many distributions like Fedora, SUSE and ubuntu, automatically mount removable media when inserted and display its contents. But, Slackware does not do this by default.

How do I add such behavior to my KDE desktop to my Slackware 10.2. Whenever I insert a CD-ROM or my USB flash disk, I want it to be automatically mounted and the contents must be displayed in a new konqueror window.

Thanx for that!!

I have another problem regarding mounting and unmounting.

When I double click on archives in konqueror it opens within konqueror using the kio_tar slave. However, when I close konqueror, kio_tar keeps running and closes after a long time. Now, when I open and copy files from archives present in removable media, I'm unable to unmount the media. As a work around I'm manually execute "killall kio_tar" before unmounting. How do I fix it?

I'm using:-

Slackware 10.2
KDE 3.4.2
