Autoconf reaktivate

Trying to install reaktivate. There isn't any help on the web I had to figure everything out on my own thus far. But now I am befudled. reaktivate comes with a configure.in.in so I am assuming that you need to run autoconf to create the config file and then your off to the races, so to speak. But once I run autoconf it pops up an error and I haven't the slightest clue what it means.(Never used autoconf before.)

Quote:
snares@snares-desktop:~/reaktivate$ autoconf configure.in.in
configure.in.in:4: error: m4_defn: undefined macro: _m4_divert_diversion
configure.in.in:4: the top level
autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1
Perhaps this isn't what I am supposed to do but it's all I got to go on. There's no "Install" doc the "README" just say to build and install it.(duh) The only other thing I tried was to install autoconf2.13. if created a configure file but had a lot of "bugs" detected so the configure script was rendered usable. Kubuntu Feisty user.
