Attribute setting in ftpd

Hi All:

when i upload a file by ftp, the file attribute is default to be 640.

I want to change the default attribute to 644.

How to do it?

Thanks.

It depends what ftp server you are using, there is a umask setting in the configuration file for proftpd and vsftpd. If you are using the standard ftpd(and depending on the version), check for the umask setting in /etc/ftpd.conf or use the -u option to change the umask.
