ATI Driver installation on Debian/etch

I recently purchased a new graphics card, a Radeon 9250. When I try to create a distro specific package, I get an error:
Code:
# ./ati-driver-installer-8.28.8.run --buildpkg Debian/etch
Creating directory fglrx-install
Verifying archive integrity... All good.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Are you trying to build a 32-bit driver on a 64-bit system? Either way, why are you building .deb files instead of using the ones from Debian's repos?
