When I install python 2.3 using apt-get
I get this error:

dpkg: error processing python2.3 (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
It then gives me a long list of all the programs that cannot be configured.
eg:
Code:
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of dia-libs:
dia-libs depends on python2.3 (>= 2.3); however:
Package python2.3 is not configured yet.
I gives me the same error message when I do a dpkg --configure as well.
I think it may have only just happened when I installed GNOME, because I must of installed it to make Amarok and a whole lot of other KDE applications work.
Shall I attempt to revert back to an older version, if so, how can I do this without ruining a lot of other dependant packages?
Is it possible to make the GNOME apps use python 2.4 instead of 2.3?
Is there some dependancy that the apt-get tree is missing that I require?
Thanks
