Apollon connection errors

Running Slack9.1 with 2.6.5 kernel and dropline gnome.

Finally got apollon installed after finding kde-libs off linuxpackages.

Ran newest Apollon all-in-one installer which completed with no errors.

Now every time I run Apollon it comes up to the "Welcome to Apollon" screen. Once I finish initial setup and click finish Apollon opens but stays at "The connection is being established, please be patient..." forever.

From the console I see
"mcp@user1:~$ QFile:pen: No file name specified
QFile:pen: No file name specified
QFile:pen: No file name specified
QFile:pen: No file name specified
QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key
QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key
QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key
QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key
QGDict::hashKeyString: Invalid null key
QMetaObject::findSignal:KFileTreeView: Conflict with QListView::doubleClicked(QListViewItem*,const QPoint&,int)"

Can someone help me get Apollon working correctly?

hm, it is a real pain in the buttocks. but you might be better off getting an updated system first. slack is at 10.2, and if you are using and up to date apollon you might be causeing problems. and the fact that you updated the kde libs without the rest of kde, might be a problem. and also, i love linuxpackages.net, but you should get started packages from slackware directly. somepeople package wierd. and just for the info, Limewire is faster and has more real files ( instead of blank songs, or jibberish) and fewer viruses, ( i know i know, linux, but still, dont support the spreaders)
and it just runs way better than giFT, and the gnutella network is now alot faster than FastTrack. everyone argues that FastTrack has millions and millions of users, and gillions and gillions of files, but since somewhere around half of those files are fake, and most of those users cannot be downloaded from because Kazaa and its clones cant forward the external ip to the system, and the internal ip, so you see the files, but cant download them. well, kinda kills the pros for the kazaa network. that and for the linux user giFT is the hardest and most unstable p2p program for linux, and then you have apollon, which is crap... sorry, im going on and on, but really. you would benifit from just using limewire as it is open source, and has been ported to linux.
