Apache 2.x Virtual Hosting

Ok, I've got virtual hosting going good.

Now, my problem is that I am hosting a few domains, each run by a different person. So, in each user's home, I have the document root for that domain. I have it all setup in VIrtualHost tags, and its working sweet.

My issue is how to setup permissions.

Lets suppose we have 2 users, userA and userB, each with their own document root. In order for them to edit/add pages, etc, I have all the documents in t heir respective roots owned by themselves.

Again, this seems to work pretty good except any PHP app that wants to edit files, write, etc don't work. I'm presuming this is because the user is "apache"?

I hope I've described this problem good enough. Thanks in advance.

I was under the impression suEXEC applied to cgi scripts as opposed to PHP.
