alsa with revolution 7.1

hi all, i am running fedora core 4 and attempting to enable my m-audio revo 7.1 using alsa, (i already tried the autodetect option from sound settings, no luck and the volume is up) i am following the steps from alsa-project:

http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc...e=ice1724#modp

everything goes ok until i attempt to insert the modules(drivers, libs, utils) into the kernel, the command i type is

/sbin/modprobe snd-ice1724;/sbin/modprobe snd-pcm-oss;/sbin/modprobe snd-mixer-oss;/sbin/modprobe snd-seq-oss

after this i get the following output:

[root@localhost alsa-lib-1.0.10]# /sbin/modprobe snd-ice1724;/sbin/modprobe snd-pcm-oss;/sbin/modprobe snd-mixer-oss;/sbin/modprobe snd-seq-oss
FATAL: Module snd_ice1724 not found.
FATAL: Module snd_pcm_oss not found.
FATAL: Module snd_mixer_oss not found.
FATAL: Module snd_seq_oss not found.

[root@localhost alsa-lib-1.0.10]# /etc/init.d/alsasound restart
Starting sound driver: snd-ice1724 FATAL: Module snd_ice1724 not found.
done
Starting sound driver: snd-intel8x0 FATAL: Module snd_intel8x0 not found.
done

thanks, any input is appreciated! can't play q3 without sound!!! drivin me nuts!!!
