Hope u have heard about the new movie Revolution OS. For all those of you enjoyed Pirates of the Silicon Valley, this will be a treat. It's like a interview of all the big names in the Linux world, Linus, Eric Raymond, RMS and all. It is about the development of Linux.
"REVOLUTION OS tells the inside story of the hackers who rebelled against the proprietary software model and Microsoft to create GNU/Linux and the Open Source movement."

There's nothing sickening about it it not locked for a region and encryption free just like all DVD's should be.

Why would this be sickening? (Unless you were talking about the encryption of which there isn't any)
Its a pretty good documentary...I've had friends watch it with me who didn't know anything about linux...it was enough to get them to try it (and a few have converted)
I just watched this documentary and I really liked it. Of course I am a little biased because I use linux but the movie really shows a lot about the history of linux and the GNU project.
I really liked the emphasis on the philosophical approach to free and opensource software. Richard Stallman's ideas and approach to the whole concept are remarkable. The most interesting thing I found is that Stallmans early philosophy on free software was also geared toward making money for businesses using free software.
At the risk of sounding corny, this movie really made me feel proud to use opensource software.
Cool! At first I thought this was a hoax, like the MS-Linux site... I just couldn't find any obvious jokes on their page. But this is a real DVD! Cool! Shame about this:
I m yself was amazed by this documentary film. Knew this had promise. Also enjoyable was Pirates of the Silicon Valley. It showed how M$ became from nothing to everything.
