I suggest you open your browser plugins page, and check flash plugin installed.

Or, you mean stand-alone player?

It would help if you told us which browser you're using.

How are you trying to install Flash?
apt-get install flash-nonfree

If your using Firefox type about:plugins in the address bar>
You should see something like:
File name: /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree/libflashplayer.so
Shockwave Flash 9.0 d78
The version in Sarge is 7.0.25-5.

If you have the Adobe Flash installed.

You can also try Gnash, the "free" version of Flash.
