adding ram to an old laptop

i have a toshiba satellite pro 445 cdt with a 133mhz proc, 16 mb of ram, 2 mb chips and tech video card, and a 2 gig hard drive. I have debian woody installed and am using blackbox as my window manager. the system is pretty solid, but i want to upgrade the ram so i can listent to musix with xmms, use gaim (im planning on getting a wireless ethernet card) and mozilla, all without lag. obivously that would be kind of tricky with the current specs. but i recently found a 64 mb ram upgrade card taht would fit the laptop for about $50. will the benefits of adding it be worth the money? is there anything else i can do? also, the laptop can only hold a total of 144 mb of ram and the 128 cards are ridiculously hard to find cheap, thats why i didnt mention it.

if the laptop can go up to the 64M card and will acknowledge the ram, going from 16-64 will be a HUGE performance imporvement.

it would actually go from 16 to 80 mb of ram cause the 16 mb is built in
