Adding more RAM

Just a quick no-brainer here, I'm adding 256Mb of RAM to my laptop, do I need to change the size of the swap file, or can I? I have Partition Magic 7.o Or will Linux automatically recognize it?

Thanks in Advance,
Aaron

you don't need to do anything, and if you've that much RAM (512+) you may want to consider even removing the swap partition. The old rule of thumb was that you should have twice as much swap as RAM, but that was when RAM wasn't stupidly large and cheap. if you neevr use teh swap file, you might benefit from converting it into anopther partition.
