accessing ntfs share through samba


Hello

if i configure the samba client how do i then actually access the widnows shares?

where would i go within the KDE Gui?

also i configured the samba server using linuxconf but how do i configure the client?

you can always use the command line using smbclient or the smbmount commands. I've used Dropline Gnome and I know adding a mount to the fstab file makes it accessible in the menu you get by right clicking on the desktop.

i was looking on samba's website and all the gui's available... looks like if i use konquerori can do it?

konqueror - KDE File Browser
KDE's filebrowser Konqueror can access smb filesystems using smb:// URL's.


to just use the client i cant imagine i need much else? i'll carry on looking
