A question on K3B

Hi folks,

I just have k3b installed. It looks to me more or
less like Easy CD creator which I used in the old days
while running M$Windows.

Is k3d the front-end of cdrecord? I could not find
much technical information on its official website.
Please help.

If you start the K3b program and goto
help / K3b handbook / Introduction
there is a line which states
"The actual burning in K3b is done by the command line utilities
cdrecord, cdrdao, and growisofs."
