a program for tracking?

This isn't a post about a problem with a program, more that I am looking for a program that can track orders. basically I need a program that can keep track of equipment that is checked out, who it is checked out too, for how long, how many different items they have checked out. It is pretty broad what I could use, but I don't know of any particular programs that would work.

If anyone has an idea for what I should look at, that would be great thanks.

I haven't heard of any such apps. Sounds like you should set up a database. StarOffice offers Addabas; OpenOffice.org offers Base. There are others you could google up to examine.
