'Download-Monitor' install problem

Hello,

I'm trying to install 'download monitor' on Linux Mint 12 and have followed the instructions at http://ubuntuportal.com/2012/07/down...inux-mint.html

However, when I

Code:

sudo apt-get install download-monitor

I end up getting the error

Code:

E: Unable to locate package download-monitor

Not only that, but after adding the ppa, now update manager end's up with

Code:

Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/duncanjdavis/download-monitor-submit/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/source/Sources  404  Not Found
Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/duncanjdavis/download-monitor-submit/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/binary-i386/Packages  404  Not Found
Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I Have however removed the ppa's from the software sources so believe this would not be an issue anymore.

I even tried downloading the .deb file for 'download-monitor' from Launchpad but trying to install with 'Package Installer' gives

Code:

Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: gir1.2-unity-5.0

Would really appreciate some help with this, pls.

Install gir1.2-unity-5.0 from here:

Is gir1.2-unity-5.0 related to the Unity desktop of Ubuntu? I ask 'cos I use Linux Mint 12 (which I believe does not use Unity?) and fear it may clash with my dektop?
