Angry Fedora monitor problem after install

I recently installed Fedora on my computer, but when it restarted for the first time, it went through all the setup and then froze with black and white bars on the screen. The same thing happened when i tried to run the install in graphical mode. Anyone encountered this problem before?

Also, if you tell me I need to enter a command, ill need to know where and when. This is my first time using Linux after all!

Knowing your hardware specs would be useful

Oh! Sorry!

Fatal1ty motherboard, Athlon X2 4800+, 4 gigs of ram, 1TB Mirror raid, and 2 nVidia Gt7800s (sli) with a NEC Multisync monitor.

Right now im thinking it might be defaulting to too low a resolution for my monitor to support.

Hrmmm you need to get yourself into some nVidia boards or whatever, check for problems similar to yours. Also, those 4 Gs in RAM can be problematic if the kernel is not set to high mem. Have you tried visiting #fedora at freenode.org? There are some pretty darn wise folks in there who might be helpful.
